Her nest is made of denim, but she keeps looking at the sky.

This little bird can’t wait to take off. Her wing is already up, her feathers glint, and her eye looks a little sly, as if she has spotted something interesting around the corner. I embroidered her on denim and set beads right where the feathers wanted to shine. Her edges are ruffled, as if she flew into a headwind. She has landed on the pin just for a moment. Or so she says.
